• The Kona Bands Registry: This serial number is then registered into the Kona Bands Registry alongside your ownership details.
• Certificate of Authenticity: Each Kona Band comes with unique Certificate with the details of your ring and serial number.

In the unfortunate event of loss or theft, having a registered serial number drastically increases the chances of positive identification and recovery if the ring is ever found or presented to a jeweler or pawn broker. Kona Bands are available in US standard ring sizes, typically ranging from Size 5 to Size 15, including half-sizes (e.g., 9.5). Most of our rings feature a "comfort-fit" profile, which means the inside of the band is slightly domed. This requires a slightly different sizing approach than traditional flat-interior rings.

3. Account for Width: Wide rings (8mm or more) generally fit slightly tighter than thin rings. If you are between sizes, we typically advise selecting the larger half-size for wider bands.

What if my size changes?

How Registration Works

1. Unique Serial Number: Every Kona Band is laser-engraved with a unique, discrete serial number on the inside of the band. This number is permanent.
2. Automatic Registration: Your ring's serial number is automatically registered to your name, production date, and ring size upon shipment. There is nothing extra you need to do!
3. Your Record: You will receive a Certificate of Authenticity confirming the details of your ring's unique identifier.

The Kona Bands Lifetime Loss/Theft Warranty provides unparalleled peace of mind, ensuring that your commitment is protected for life. This warranty is made possible by the unique serial number registered in the Kona Bands Registry.

Warranty Details

If your registered Kona Band is lost or stolen at any point after purchase, you are eligible to replace it with a brand new, identical ring for a simple, one-time replacement fee.

• Replacement Fee: The fee for a replacement ring is a flat rate of $95, with shipping included at no extra charge.
• Identical Replacement: The replacement will be the exact same style, size, and material as the original ring that was registered in your name.
• New Registration: The replacement ring will be issued its own new serial number and registered to you in the Kona Bands Registry. (We keep the original serial number in the registry in case it ever turns up).

How to Claim Your Replacement

2. Verify Ownership: We will verify your ownership and original purchase details using the Kona Bands Registry.
3. Place Order: We will provide a unique link to purchase your replacement ring at the discounted replacement fee of $95 (shipping included).

Crucial Note: This warranty is separate from the Lifetime Sizing Guarantee. This covers loss and theft, while the Sizing Guarantee covers size changes (where the original, un-lost ring must be returned).

What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects resulting from the manufacturing process, including but not limited to:

• Materials: Structural failure of the core metal (e.g., Tungsten or Ceramic) that is not caused by physical impact.
• Inlay Integrity: Issues with the inlay material itself (e.g., cracking, peeling, or fading) that are not due to improper care or chemical exposure.
• Sealing: Any separation or failure of the protective resin seal covering the inlay that occurs under normal wear.

What the Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does not cover issues caused by external forces, improper care, or normal wear and tear:

• Normal Wear: Minor scratches or aesthetic wear on the metal core or surface finish.
• Improper Care: Damage caused by chemicals (e.g., bleach, acetone) or prolonged exposure to water (see our Care Guide).
• Physical Damage: Chips, breaks, or impact damage caused by dropping the ring or striking it against a hard surface.
• Lost or Stolen Rings: These issues are covered by the separate Lifetime Loss/Theft Warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

1. Contact Support: Email us at Hello@KonaBands.com with your name, serial number, and a detailed description of the issue.
2. Visual Inspection: Please include clear, close-up photos of the ring damage. We will assess the issue to determine if it is a manufacturing defect.
3. Repair or Replacement: If the damage is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair the original ring or replace it with a brand new ring at no cost to you (shipping included).

Cleaning your Kona Band is simple and requires only basic household items. The key is gentle care to protect the unique inlay material and its protective resin seal.

1. Preparation: Mix a small amount of mild liquid soap (like non-lotion hand soap or dish soap) with lukewarm water in a small bowl. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
2. Cleaning: Gently wipe the entire ring, paying special attention to the inlay, using a soft, lint-free cloth or a very soft-bristled toothbrush (like a baby's toothbrush).
3. Rinsing: Rinse the ring thoroughly under clean, lukewarm water to remove all soap residue.
4. Drying: Immediately and completely dry the ring with a clean, soft cloth. Do not let the ring air dry, as water spots can dull the finish.

⚠️ Important Reminder: Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, acetone, or jewelry cleaning solutions, as these are formulated for precious metals and can damage the protective resin and the unique inlay material.

Kona Bands are engineered to be highly durable and sweat-resistant for everyday wear, but we characterize them as water-resistant, not fully waterproof, due to the unique inlays.

1. Sweat & Handwashing (Safe): Your ring's tough core and the protective resin seal over the inlay are resistant to sweat and safe for normal activities like hand-washing, showering, and wearing during exercise.
2. Inlays (Remove for Submersion): The biggest risk is the prolonged saturation of the inlay material. For maximum longevity, we highly recommend removing your ring before activities that involve extended submersion or harsh chemicals, such as: Swimming (especially in chlorinated pools or saltwater), Hot Tubs and using strong cleaning chemicals (like bleach or acetone)

The Bottom Line: The core metal is waterproof, but the protective resin over the inlay can be compromised by repeated, long-term exposure to harsh chemicals or total submersion. Following these simple care steps ensures your Kona Band maintains its brilliant look for a lifetime.

Your Kona Band is built tough for a lifetime of commitment, but we recommend simple preventative care to ensure the longevity and brilliance of the unique inlay materials and the band itself.

1. Daily Use (Hand Washing/Showering): The ring's protective resin is water-resistant and can handle normal daily exposure like hand washing and brief showers.
2. Avoid Prolonged Exposure: We highly recommend removing your ring before activities involving extended saturation, such as swimming in a pool or the ocean, using a hot tub, or doing dishes. Prolonged submersion or exposure to chlorine and saltwater can, over many years, compromise the protective coating around the inlay.
3. Avoid Strong Chemicals: Avoid all strong cleaning agents (like bleach or abrasive chemicals) and products containing acetone.
4. Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer contains high-proof alcohol which can degrade the protective resin over time. Remove your ring, apply the sanitizer, and wait until your hands are completely dry before putting the ring back on.
5. Heavy Work: If you are using heavy household or industrial chemicals, or engaging in activities that risk impact, please remove your band until work is completed.

Because each band is handcrafted, there are two stages to receiving your order:

1. Production: Please allow 5 business days for us to create your band.
2. Shipping: We use FedEx 2-Day shipping for all orders.

Your total estimated delivery time is typically 7 business days. We'll provide tracking details when your band ships.

🔁 What is Your Exchange Policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Kona Band. We offer a straightforward exchange policy, provided the ring is in new, unworn condition.

Eligibility for Exchange

• Timeframe: We accept exchanges within 30 days of the original delivery date.
• Condition: The ring must be returned in new, unworn condition, free of any scratches, dents, or signs of use, and must include all original packaging. Rings that show signs of having been worn for more than brief sizing verification cannot be exchanged.

Types of Exchanges

• Style/Color Exchange: If you would like a different style or color, you may exchange your ring for an item of equal or greater value. If the new item is of greater value, you will be responsible for the difference in price.
• Size Exchange: If you simply need a different size, please use our Lifetime Sizing Guarantee (where the replacement fee is $85) rather than this general exchange policy, as the Sizing Guarantee is designed specifically for this purpose and covers your size change for life.

How to Initiate an Exchange

1. Contact Support: Email our Customer Support team at Hello@KonaBands.com within the 30-day window to request an exchange authorization number (RA#).
2. Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for shipping the original ring back to us safely. We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.
3. Inspection and Shipment: Once we receive and inspect the ring and confirm its new, unworn condition, we will process the exchange and ship your new band to you.

🚫 What is Your Return Policy (For a Refund)?

Kona Bands does not accept returns for a refund.

Due to the unique, handcrafted nature of our rings and our commitment to maintaining the integrity of the Kona Bands Registry and its identification system, all sales are considered final.

We encourage customers to carefully review the ring style, material, and our sizing recommendations before placing an order.
